U.S. CONSUMER PRODUCT REPORT

Lip Gloss Recalled By Markwins
Posted on January 28, 2009 @ 08:04 am='2009-01-29'

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of about 75,000 Markwins lip gloss keychains.

The metal clasp attached to the keychain contains high levels of lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.

The products were sold at Rite Aid, Kmart, Fred Meyer and Wal-Mart Stores nationwide during October 2008 for about $1.

BEAUTY BLOGGERS...PERKS...

BEAUTY BLOGGERS...NEW YORK TIMES

Our times have changed..the underworld..of sometimes..scandalous secrets..
Mysterious, yes..alluring, yes..captivating, yes...
Beauty Bloggers have more inside deals than most of us really know.
At home, in the office, where ever they can. Bloggers are entering in their own self made pages..their opinions of what's hot and what's not!!
When I joined the Bloggers..a year ago, I had no idea of the impact it would have on me!
I was aware like most that it was a new rage and that the journalist for paid publications. Took it as a competition and were fiercely making a point to down side this new online publicity!
It has upset a number of beauty editors of magazines and newspapers!
Yet, through all the riff - raff they are here and making a statement.
By invitation..to be the expert of new product launches from hair care, cosmetics, clothing, etc..

LOOKING BACK ON 2008...lebec cosmetics

Model: Tamara
MUA: Lebec

It's a new year!

Everything is starting over again; the cycle continues on.

Why not break some of monotony that countless of us find ourselves floating around in?

I have found a fun way to start off the new year... with a fabulous new look created just for you by a professional makeup artist! I was so pleased to learn that a professional working makeup artist is located right here in Rancho Cucamonga and surprised to find that Lebec, founder and Creative Director of Lebec Cosmetics, is as accessible as she is informative!

My makeup looked fabulous (the comments I received were numerous), her product line is amazing with respect to color, variety and ingredients (there are years of research that went into creating her products) and her masterful knowledge of makeup artistry with professionalism, personality and genuine care for the customer are all found in this trendy little boutique.I felt like a celebrity while I sat in her chair. It's no wonder, though, when her motto is "My customers are the celebrities." And, by the way, Lebec is no stranger to famous people as her clientele list boasts quite a few big name celebs that sought her out to blend custom powders and foundations. So, what are you waiting for?

There's nothing like a new look to help a person feel refreshed, revived and ready to conquer another new year... in style! You can check out http://www.lebeconline.com/ and/or visit Lebec's boutique at:

NEW YEAR..FOR OUR FAVORITE MAGAZINES..

The New York Times..Photo Credit
New age for magazines..probably most of us have noticed for sometime now..
How are favorite magazines have a new look..as in the recent Vogue..

I noticed immediately the quality of the photo on the front cover!
And how extremely thin the issue was!
It was a relief to see less advertisements..that are seen over and over again!
In every fashion & beauty magazine by the huge cosmetic companies..
Yet it lacked something its appeal!! Due to the quality in which it was printed!

Read more about it here..
It was an ugly January not just for Allure, but also for Condé Nast magazines in general.
January issues tend to be thin even in good years, and most magazines posted a decline in ad pages. But the average decline across all monthly magazines was only 17 percent, and most Condé Nast magazines fared much worse, according to analysis of Media Industry Newsletter data.

Lets watch to see what will happen next..
